GREATER NEIGHBORHOOD MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
​The Songaia Greater Neighborhood Affiliated properties consist of:
  • Songaia Condominium Association
  • Life Song Commons (shared house owned by Growing Community, LLC)
  • New Earth Song (shared house owned by Alpaca Place, LLC).
Overview of Membership Types of the Greater Neighborhood
  • Our Membership document contains complete details about membership.
  • Members are classified as residential and non-residential and board members and non-board members. Although final decision-making legally rests with the voting members of the Great Neighborhood, the By-laws specify that the HOA "will attempt to make all decisions by consensus.”  All members in the community are invited to express their views in the consensus process.
NON-RESIDENTIAL MEMBERS (ASSOCIATES):
  • ​FRIENDS (annual fee, not on the board)
  • FAMILIAR (quarterly fee, not on the board)
  • NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR (resides on adjacent property, quarterly fee)
    • ​Level I (not on the board)
    • Level II (in residence for 6 months, additional application process, renewed yearly, on the board)
  • ​​Associate membership application packet.​ This packet contains  Songaia Community Values, Associate program guidelines, description of the membership levels, Community Committee Descriptions and an Associate Applications check list
  • Sponsor's Guidelines - describes the suggested roles and responsibilities of the sponsor of a potential associate. ​
AFFILIATE PROPERTY MEMBERS:
  • ​OWNERS (of GN property units, non-resident or resident, on the board)
  • NON-OWNER RESIDENTS (rent a room or full unit)
    • ​Level I (not on the board)
    • Level II (in residence for 6 months with active participation, additional application process, renewed yearly, on the board)​​

  • Landlord Tenant rights and responsibilities brochure for Snohomish County.
  • Requirements & Steps to Renting a Home or Room in the GN (This document summarizes the required rental steps for GN owners who are renting a room or unit in the GN that were passed by consensus in 2017. It also states a proposed pathway that Unit 3 and 7 owners intend to follow for renters/roomers of those units.)
